WE NEED YOUR HELP TO SAVE OUR QUALITY

CHILD CARE & EARLY EDUCATION SYSTEM

WHAT’S HAPPENING?

The State Senate has proposed major changes to the Ohio’s Step Up To Quality system that would have devastating results for quality care and education.

WHAT IS STEP UP TO QUALITY?

Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) is Ohio’s research-based five-star quality rating system for early learning programs. A star rating is a sign that an early care and education provider has invested in program standards that that exceed licensing health and safety regulations and are proven to support learning and development in young children.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR AND REPRESENTATIVE!

WHAT TO SAY WHEN YOU CALL:

•  All programs that serve publicly funded kids should be required to participate Step Up To Quality.

•  The proposed changes would deal a devastating blow to the child care and early education system

•  Explain why SUTQ is important to you and your child.

•  As a parent and a constituent, I am asking your office to:

◊  Keep SUTQ in place to support our quality child care system.

◊ Restore the requirement that programs serving publicly funded kids participate in SUTQ.
