PRE4CLE is being looked to as a national model for preschool expansion, as evidenced by invitations to speak to national audiences across the U.S.
This spring, PRE4CLE joined New York, San Francisco, and Denver at a in Philadelphia for a conversation with early childhood education providers and policymakers to dig into obstacles and opportunities for creating more high-quality seats in Philadelphia. The convening was designed to be a learning opportunity to hear from others around the country working toward increasing access to high-quality early education and included leaders from federal, state and local government, as well as educational experts from the four cities implementing comprehensive preschool strategies. The event also featured Libby Doggett, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Early Learning at the U.S. Department of Education and Marian Wright Edelman, Founder and President of the Children’s Defense Fund.
PRE4CLE was also featured this spring at the Smart Start conference, a national convening of early learning leaders, to discuss the role of advocacy in preschool expansion.
This summer, PRE4CLE was featured on a panel with PolicyMap’s Mapchats Webinar: Advancing Early Childhood Education through Data and Mapping and shared how mapping drives the work of preschool expansion in Cleveland.
PRE4CLE also traveled to New Orleans as part of the BUILD Initiative’s conference to meet with national leaders about utilizing quality early learning systems for preschool expansion.
