Last July, PRE4CLE got a boost from an incredible group of volunteers — employees from Swagelok, who spent a day rolling up their sleeves at two Cleveland preschool sites: the YWCA and East End Neighborhood House.
At the YWCA, the Swagelok team tackled projects both inside and out. Indoors, they gave the staff break room a much-needed refresh — decluttering, reorganizing, and moving in new furniture to create a more comfortable space for teachers. Outside, volunteers sanded and stained the outdoor classroom and spent time working in the children’s garden, leaving behind spaces that are safer, brighter, and ready for learning.
Over at East End Neighborhood House, another group of volunteers dug into their own set of projects. They organized the staff room, cleared out and prepped garden beds, painted furniture, and even built a brand-new greenhouse from scratch. Their hard work will create lasting changes for seasons to come.
And the generosity didn’t stop with elbow grease. Swagelok also made a donation to each center, giving both sites extra support to keep their important work going.

Days like this are a reminder of what’s possible when local businesses invest directly in their community. A few hours of teamwork can mean a more welcoming space for teachers, a fresh garden for kids to explore, or a greenhouse that sparks curiosity for years down the line.
