KeyBank Volunteers with PRE4CLE at Murtis Taylor Preschool

As KeyBank celebrates its 35th annual Neighbors Make a Difference Day, volunteers came to help to clean up and refresh Murtis Taylor’s outdoor playground and garden with PRE4CLE. 

KeyBank Makes a Difference

As the sun returned after a long winter, so did the weeds in Murtis Taylor’s playground. Thorny overgrowth had spread across the colorful play space, leaving students without access to their outdoor area. A family of baby groundhogs had even taken up residence in the garden, but that didn’t stop KeyBank volunteers from stepping away from their busy schedules to help get the space ready for summer.

Through KeyBank’s Neighbors Make a Difference Day, volunteers pulled on thick gloves and got to work. Volunteers began picking weeds, shoveling dirt, and planting a variety of vegetables and herbs. Additionally, students from Murtis Taylor joined the volunteer crew and pitched in on the cleanup. By the end of the day, the playground was clear and ready for play again. Students will now take on the job of tending their new garden, watching it grow into fresh herbs and vegetables they can taste for themselves this summer.
